Iowa Civil Liberties Council is an Iowa City, Iowa-based non-profit, non-partisan citizens’ group dedicated to the protection of civil liberties as codified in the Iowa Constitution and the United States Bill of Rights.

We believe that eternal vigilance truly is the price of liberty, that the platform given to us by the Bill of Rights is crucial for the pursuit of a more just future for all, and that standing up for our fundamental rights on a local level is one of the most important things we can do as citizens to preserve and strengthen that platform.
